Why I like sled hockey: The feeling of flying across the ice is freeing and the competition is a big release. Watching the kids on the team grow and improve every year is the most exciting. Hobbies: Paralympic swimming, kayaking, hand cycling, working in athletic training and trying any new adaptive sports.

Disability: Incomplete C6-7 Spinal Cord.

Other Accomplishments: I was a firefighter/EMT for 7yrs before being injured, since then I have returned to the fire service as a dispatcher, instructor, and EMT. I have also returned to my previous joy of volunteering at the local high school in athletic training. Since being injured I have swam at the Olympic Training Center, kayaked on the Platte River, and successfully rock climbed.
