We want you!

The opportunity to play sled hockey allows athletes with mobility limitations to experience or, in some cases, re-experience the joys and benefits of a team sport.

We need athletes of ALL abilities.  We are also looking for athletes who want an alternative therapy/exercise, to develop increased self-confidence, or just to have FUN!

Even if you are not sure you can give it a try.  If you like it, we'll provide you with a properly fitted sled.  CSSHA is keeping the program fees very low. Players are only required to purchase an annual $47 USA Hockey membership, which covers insurance.

Required player equipment.  Note, we have use equipment which you may borrow:

  • Hockey approved helmet with cage or full shield
  • Internal mouth guard (e.g. Shock Doctor) strapped to cage or shield (exceptions can be made per physical limitations)
  • Neck guard
  • Shoulder pads
  • Elbow pads
  • Hockey gloves (exceptions can be made per physical limitations)
  • Shin guards
  • Heavy duty boots or hockey skate boots with blades removed
